I am an 8th grade special education math teacher with a dash of Social Studies. I'm in two co-taught math classes and have two Learning Support classes, and then co-teach one Social Studies class.
When I get home from my crazy work day, my crazy family awaits me. Somehow my wife and I are able to survive with a 7 year old son, and 4 & 2 year old daughters. I wouldn't change it for the world!
I teach in a district right outside of Philadelphia. It is a very transient and extremely diverse neighborhood. The parents of my students do not typically have high levels of school engagement as they lead lives I cannot imagine. My students are mainly learning disabled with a few on the autism spectrum.
